Terror Terrific Tuesday

Nanticoke Racing, Ed Maas III and Arlene Paisley's Terror At Night ($12.80, Allan Davis) was a 1:53.3 winner in the $16,000 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

There was a calvalry charge for the early lead, but when the dust settled, Terror At Night was the early leader through an opening quarter mile in 27 seconds. The seven pacers marched to the half mile in 56.3 and three-quarters in 1:25.1. Terror At Night held off pocket sitting Matinee Dragon to the wire for a narrow win. Purrfect Bags was third.

Trained by Les Givens, it was the third win of the year for Terror At Night, a 4-year-old Western Terror mare.

Gary Ewing's Sweet Bobbie ($8.20, Art Stafford Jr.) won her second in a row on the undercard in a $10,000 pace for owner/trainer Gary Ewing. Davis had four driving wins while Jon Roberts had three.
