HARRINGTON, Del. – Pick four players will have extra incentive to handicap Harrington Raceway’s Monday May 25 Memorial Day program, as a $5,000 guaranteed pool has been added to the popular wager.
The pick four runs nightly from races 3 through 6. A program for the entire 13-race Harrington Raceway program can be found here.
A competitive first leg features world record runner-up Bobbies Powerplay (2-1) and last week’s winner in the class Race Me Villa (5/2) in an $11,000 conditioned pace. Bobbies Powerplay was second in Wiggleitjiggleit’s track and world record 1:49 mile on 5-11 and finished second in his ensuing effort to rival Race Me Villa.
The second leg, race four, is headed by J&M Racing’s Tauranga (5/2, Jonathan Roberts) who had a 1:51.4 win earlier in the meet. The third leg will feature a favorite on the outside as talented sophomore Remember Me VK (8/5, Montrell Teague) returned to the races in style on 5-11 with a 1:53 score in his 2015 debut. A $12,500 Open II event will cap the pick four with the only seven horse field in the sequence, the others all being full eight horse fields. Five of the race’s competitors are coming off victories in their last start with Framed Art (7/2, Art Stafford Jr.) tabbed as the lukewarm morning line favorite.
Post time is 5:30 p.m.
